Blades:
- Blade design based on latest hydrodynamic research with large blade areas for efficiency and rounded leading edges for quiet operation;
- Cast Nickel/Aluminium/Bronze (NIBRAL), high strength, corrosion resistant and 80 - 82% copper for anti-fouling;
- Twin helical gears (patented) for improved gear engagement.
Hubs, shaft, 2, 3 and 4-blade:
- Forged Nickel/Aluminium/Bronze (NIBRAL), high strength, corrosion resistant and 80 - 82% copper for anti-fouling;
- Locking screws with pre-applied waterproof thread locker available for underwater installation or re-installation of prop after changing sail drive anode;
- Urethane shock absorbers for low opening stress;
- Available in most SAE and metric shaft configurations.
Hubs, sail drive:
- Inner and outer hubs are forged Nickel/Aluminum Bronze (NIBRAL), high strength, corrosion resistance and 80 - 82% copper for anti-fouling;
- Rubber bushing to minimize shock loading of sail drive;
- Locking screws with pre-applied waterproof thread locker available for underwater installation or re-installation of prop after changing sail drive anode;
- Urethane shock absorbers for low opening stress.
Hubs, 3- and 4-blade only:
- All of the above plus cover plate to protect gears from corrosion;
- Anode to protect the large blade area of the 3- and 4-blade prop.
Pivot pins locking screws:
- AISI 329 (22% Cr, 5% Ni) stainless steel pins for high strength, corrosion resistance;
- Notch in pivot pin to accommodate locking screw to ensure positive lock;
- Locking screws to supplement thread locking;
- Pre-applied thread locker that cures under water.
