2-Blade Racing propeller
If you are a serious racer, you’ll go for the 2-blade Racing Flexofold.
Depending on size and speed, the drag will be 20 to 30% less than the Standard Flexofold. At the same time, the powering performance of the Racing Propeller will be only slightly less than the standard propeller. We achieve this drag improvement by streamlining the blades and reducing the gap between them when folded. Yet, we still maintain much of the powerful shape that is responsible for the standard propellers efficiency under power.
Available diameters
The Racing Flexofold is available in 15, 16, 17, 18 and 21 inch sizes, in both right and left hand, with several pitches in each diameter. It can be mounted on tapered shafts as well as sail drives.
Due to the flexible design of our propellers, it´s even possible switch blades on the existing hub. Thereby, you can easily put on Racing blades for the regatta, and switch back to standard blades when going for a two weeks cruise with the family.
The Flexofold 2-blade Racing folding propeller for Saildrive - available for shaft too.
Folded for low draft and minimum risk of catching lines or seaweed the racing propeller has 20 to 30% less drag than the Standard Flexofold 2-blade.
The Flexofold Racing Propellers are used as standard equipment on Farr 40s, Farr 36s, ID 35s and many other offshore one-designs. The Sydney 40 that won the 2001 Transpac was equipped with a Flexofold 2-Blade Racing Prop. And, the Swan 45 and Swan 42 NYC, the high performance rocket ships from Nautor, have a Flexofold Racing Propeller as standard equipment.
